Another significant website update has meant we have been unable to stick with our plan of sending out a monthly newsletter with an attractive offer. The offers are not published on the website and are available only to those who sign-up to the newsletter. This can be done online, by email, or when visiting the vineyard. We call it our “Claytons” wine club – the wine club without the commitment. If you would like to join, simply click here.
Yes, the rumors are true – Bald Hills is “on the market”. If and when a buyer comes along we will be sure to inform our subscribers. Meanwhile it is business as usual.
Be sure to check us out on our Bald Hills Facebook Page, on Twitter and on Google Plus. We have been particularly active on these pages this year. The Facebook page promotes our weekly recipe and wine match every Friday, which is proving very popular! During the week we publish photos of vineyard activities and news items around our beautiful Central Otago. If you have any you would like to share, please do so on our page!
Vineyard activity has focused on pruning, repairs and clean-up. Rabbits are sneaking in again despite the supposed rabbit-proof fencing and the problem is about to be tackled again. The grass is definitely greener on our side of the fence. We have had regular rainfall soaking deep into the ground, which on the “plus” side sets the vineyard up nicely for the season ahead. Lots of renovation work has been done in the garden. Have a look around when next you visit.
Our open hours are Friday to Monday inclusive, 1p.m. to 5p.m. from October until Easter. Be sure to call in if you are here outside these hours but you may well find us on the tractor or in the garden!
Here’s to all of us!
