Our Tasting Room opens again for the season on Friday October 4th and we are very busy getting everything in order for our future wine tasters. We see some colourful people through our doors every year expect this season to be no different!
We have had some very entertaining guests pass through our tasting room each season, so we thought we would share with you some of our tales in the lead up to opening. Some of course are best not talked about…. but Blair and I have handpicked a few memorable moments that we thought were worth sharing.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from the lovely Jacque Tucker – Gardening Correspondent for Newstalk ZB. Have a listen to this clip in which Jacque describes just how beautiful things are here at Bald Hills and in Central Otago at the moment.
In the meantime we have been very busy getting everything in order. So far the concrete floor has been repainted a soft shade of creamy grey. The walls have been left that vibrant pink called “raspberry”, the carry-packs for 2 and 3 bottles have been replenished and the paper bags too for the single bottle sales. All that remains we think is to have the large wall sign repainted and reconfigured by local artist Maurice Middleditch and we will be ready to go!
We re-open in October, Fri to Mon inclusive. On Friday 4th October we will be re-opening from 1p.m.-5p.m. or by appointment outside these hours.
