Visitors enjoy the friendly experience of tasting the wines, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Rosé, grown on site at Bald Hills.
The maximum number of visitors it can hold comfortably is eight.
The Hunts are in attendance to explain the wines and talk about the vineyard and its history. They take great pride in showing off their trophies won at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge, two separate events held in London in 2007. The gardens are lovely too and visitors often go for a stroll amongst roses and perennials.
Larger groups – say up to fifteen – can be accommodated in the garden, an especially enjoyable experience on those blue-skied days Central is famous for. Please phone us first (03 4453161) so we have time to set up.
In the past we have hosted members of clubs, groups of ladies enjoying a “girls day out” or celebrating a birthday or forthcoming wedding or even just groups of friends celebrating life! Wines may be purchased to take away. Regrettably we do not serve food.
Bald Hills Central Otago “Single Vineyard” Pinot Noir may also be tasted in Queenstown at Wine Tastes 14 Beach Street using their enomatic wine serving system.
