Summer in a bottle. Fresh, fruity & delicious Central Otago Pinot Gris.
This deliciously dry Pinot Gris displays fragrant aromas of pear, melon, apricot, cashew and brioche. With nashi pear, golden peach, rock melon and sweet florals on the palate. This wine is mouthfilling and complex with a long, textured finish.
The Japanese word 'Kirameki' signifies the rocks that shimmer alongside the one hectare of sloping Pinot Gris vines at the Northern tip of our vineyard.
"A classic - plush and fruity with flavours of white nectarine and peach blossom, apple and a whisper of spice, citrus and minerality. A delicious pinot gris, integrated with a satin mouthfeel, lengthy finish and ready to enjoy." Cameron Douglas MS (93 Points)

The strong stone fruit and spicy character allows this wine to match to a wide variety of international foods. Our picks would be moderately spiced Asian food, seafood, and chicken.
The fruit for this 'Kirameki' Pinot Gris was hand-harvested on 24 March 2018 (24 brix) from one hectare of sloping pinot gris vines at the northern tip of our vineyard that sit alongside the shimmering rocks, known as 'Kirameki' in Japanese.
The fruit was whole bunch pressed to tank and the juice was inoculated with selected wine yeasts. The juice was fermented in a stainless steel tank with a small percentage in older oak. The fermentation was stopped retaining 7.8 grams/Litre of residual sugar.
