Deliciously Dry & Food Friendly Central Otago Pinot Gris
Crafted in a dry style, this Pinot Gris displays delicious aromas of melon, apricot and orange zest. With white peach, pear and a hint of spice on the palate, it has fresh and vibrant acidity with a lingering finish.
The Japanese word 'Kirameki' signifies the rocks that shimmer alongside the one hectare of sloping Pinot Gris vines at the Northern tip of our vineyard.
"It’s a style with cornflower confection, poached pear and all manner of soft, pipfruit and sweet roasted fennel and lemon notes on the nose and palate. Crisp, crunchy, acidity, pinprick textures on the tongue and gums, silky generosity and it has richness, generosity and yet has some dryness on the finish. Lovely and embracing and refreshing." The Bald Hills 'Kirameki' Central Otago Pinot Gris 2017 being a dry style wine, but fruity and flavoursome lends itself beautifully to pairing with spicy foods. We recommend that you try it with Asian-style dishes, seafood, and chicken. It is also delicious simply chilled, then sipped while sitting in the garden with the sun on your back and nibbling on julienned vegetables dipped in sour cream and dukkah.

The finish is long.
