The fruit selected for this Riesling has been hand-picked from one hectare of vines that are ideally situated to soak up the 'last light' from the day's sun, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly, intensifying the fruit flavours.
Our 'Last Light' Central Otago Riesling 2019 is a stunning, off-dry Riesling with vibrant aromas of lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit and orange blossom with notes of honey, beeswax and lovely florals.
The palate is mouth-filling and textural with mandarin, pineapple, pawpaw, burnt orange and citrus zest. Concentrated and complex, this wine has lively acidity, good focus and a lingering finish.
Try matching this wine with Thai style dishes, seafood, salmon and cheeses.
"This is elegant and stunning; the delicately lifted bouquet shows lime peel, crunchy apple, lemon curd and white floral aromas, followed by a brilliantly juicy palate displaying excellent focus and flow. It's wonderfully complemented by subtle sweetness and vibrant acidity, making it delicious and hugely appealing." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit (95 Points)
