Premium Award-Winning Central Otago Pinot Noir

Premium fruit parcels were hand-picked and selected by our Winemaker to craft this Single Vineyard wine that is a true representation of our boutique Central Otago vineyard.

This delightful Pinot Noir has fragrant aromas of violets, dark plum, spice, leather and smokey oak char. With rich black cherry, plum, blackberry and spice, the palate is well rounded with fine tannins and a lovely long red fruit finish with nice minerality.

Food Match

Pair this wine with roast lamb or lamb rack for a classic match that never fails to impress. The delicacy of this pinot noir results in an excellent match with stronger fish such as salmon and tuna. The bright powerful berry fruit nature also pairs well with game dishes including duck, rabbit and quail.  

Winemaking Notes

The fruit for this Single Vineyard Pinot Noir (clones 5, 6, 10/5, Abel & 115) was hand harvested between 1 and 10 April 2017. The fruit was destemmed into open top fermenters before being inoculated with selected wine yeasts to carry out the fermentation.  The wine was aged in French oak barriques for 11 months, of which 30% was new oak.
